Sue & I were over at Keech Hospice Care doing our voluntary work delivering health & safety training. When there we were pleased to be presented with our 10 years service awards. Sue also got a lovely bunch of flowers. We both look forward to continuing the work.
We both enjoy volunteering and the staff at Keech are always very friendly and appreciate what the volunteers do for them.
Have you ever thought about doing some voluntary work? Why not contact a local charity near you and find out more.
As members of LB Connect Business Networking group we are proud to take part in KidsOut Giving Tree appeal.
What’s it all about? Well that’s best explained by KidsOut themselves!
“Christmas is an exciting time for all children, but it can be difficult for those escaping domestic violence. While kids all over the country receive dozens of gifts during the holiday season, children living in refuge may not even expect to have one. Having already left their home, toys and all that is familiar, we at KidsOut believe that these children deserve more and through Giving Tree work to give them a Christmas to remember.
Take a KidsOut Giving Tree tag with a child’s name, age and appropriate toy; purchase the recommended gift valued between £5-10; and then KidsOut will ensure that your present gets to a local child in refuge.”
Bob is pictured (1st on left) with just some our members and toys that they donated hoping our small acts will help make a child happy this Christmas.
